| We have a block of 20 rooms set aside for us. If you could post to the list to the attention of Sally when you make reservations so she can keep a count on the number of rooms we have used. We can get more if we need them. | |
| RESERVATIONS | Attendees are responsible for making their own reservations. To get the stated price and be part of the block of rooms we have reserved, you need to call either 1-800-793-9121 or 1-408-453-3133. You must tell them you want to make reservations for THE BEEHIVE SWARM QUILTERS. |
| MEETING ROOM | We will have access to a meeting room for all three days where we can set up machines to sew and so on. The cost of the room will be split by those attending and paid to me. The final cost will depend on number of attendees but if 20 people attend, it would be $25 each. |
| PLANES,TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES | The closest airport is San Jose International. It is about a mile away. There is an airport shuttle and I will also coordinate and pick up people if needed. We will arrange and pick up those who might want to come by train into San Jose. Driving directions will be provided closer to the event. Rental cars are available at the airport or at the Holiday Inn which is across the street from where we are staying. I’m thinking most people won’t need to rent a car. We are within walking distance of the lightrail and there will be locals with cars so we can carpool to quilt stores or where ever else we think we need to go. |
| PIQF (Pacific International Quilt Festival) | This is the quilt show that will be held the same weekend at the Santa Clara Convention Center. It’s a great show and a lot of fun. There is a UPS store right in the Convention Center so you can just ship that fabric and what not right on home and not worry about smashing it in your suitcase. I will post when they open up registration for classes. |
